By Matt Schwartz After spending much of the evening tonight just doing more research, I have seen so many comments from people from all over Ohio who are just plain disgusted with the Cedar Fair Corporation. Who can really blame them... I know that personally myself, I have no desire to visit wildwater kingdom. In all honestly, water parks are regional destinations... I can't imagine how you can really do good business when you really anger your regional customer base. How many people do you know that are going to come visit WWK from outside NE Ohio? So I've started a new poll in the right hand column of the site. Please cast your vote... and don't be afraid to be honest! Until Next Time - Matt

By Matt Schwartz I wanted to take a moment to let everyone know the status of our planning / research. I'm still not going to release all of the details, but I can tell you where we are at as of now. We have been in contact with Cedar Fair more then once. They still have not yet determined the future of the dipper. They aren't even sure what they will do with the old ride side of the park. Everyone's ultimate goal would be to have the dipper stay at its current location and stay operating. If we have any way of making that happen, we most certainly will. Realistically though, this coaster will need to be relocated, and we are not sure if Cedar Fair will let that happen. We are currently in a research and development phase until we can get some solid answers. We have researched possible new locations for the dipper, but no decisions have been made yet. We are going to go into details, but we definitely think the dipper should stay in North East Ohio!!! Thats all for now folks! Hopefully we will be able to say more soon!

By Matt Schwartz Without releasing any information, I just wanted to take a moment to let every one know we made a bit of progress over the weekend! I wanted to take this moment to make sure that everyone realizes that we have not lost focus and that we still have our eye on the prize so to speak. One snag up that we do have is that we have not spoken with Cedar Fair since our initial contact, mainly because they have not been able to give us solid information on the dipper's future. We still are not sure if the time frame of our plan is going to match up with their plans. So once again, we are still working very hard to get something done! We really do have some great ideas, and I can't wait for me and my team to share them with all of you!

By Matt Schwartz I first wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for their support and kind words! We know that most everyone moving their attention to saving the dipper as we all watch the de-construction of Thunderhawk and soon of Dominator. If you haven't done so yet, please register an account on this site and share your thoughts / ideas in the forums. Being a few miles away from the park over here in Youngstown, we won't be able to bring fresh new pictures of de-construction, but thats not what we are about anyway. We have a realistic plan that is forming. Things are going as expected. We will make anything we can known to everyone as soon as we can. With that said, we also have a plan B which is much more scaled back. More to come. Until then, I will be attempting to add more features to this site tonight for better interactivity. Thanks again for everyone's words of encouragement! Just remember, we can't save Thunderhawk, Dominator, Dodgems, and a whole lot of other stuff, but we just may be able to help the 82 year old dipper! By Matt Schwartz Thats right! Time to launch savethedipper.com! We have a plan, but are not ready to go public just yet! Keep your eyes peeled! FYI - This site was literally born at 6:45 PM ET on 9/24/07 - I am constantly working on a full site design, but wanted to get some things going - Forums are up, site security has been implemented, and the current site theme has been added! Remember, this site will be a constant work in progress, much like our plans. So please help us promote! Tell your friends, post it in forums, get it on rec.rolelrcoaster, and anywhere else you can think of! If we all work together, we just may be able to make something happen!
